Daniel Belton and Good Company film: Matchbox

January 30, 2008 at 8:56 am | Posted in Library_News | 5 Comments

The City Library was the venue for some filming last week – perhaps you saw the film crew?

Dancer/Film Maker Daniel Belton explains:

“The scene we were shooting is for the end sequence of the film “Matchbox” which is a comic dance film with Modernist leanings. The distinctive architecture of the Library with Derek Ball’s spinning geometric sculpture in the the foreground made an ideal setting for the final images in our story. The film will be completed by May, and sent out to Film Festivals in New Zealand and Europe.”

  1. HI Daniel
I saw a photo of you in the ODT when I was back in Dunedin in July. You might remember me from Nelson College days as Frau Grant – your German teacher.

Am inspired with what you are doing – always felt way back in Fm 4 you had such incredible talent.

Anyway…am headnig back to Victoria Uni where I now work. Am back in Dunedin in Nov for a week’s contract work. Any chance of catching up with you then?
Alles Gute und auf ein Wiedersehen
    Noeline
