Kiwiana Colouring In Competition Winners Announced

We have had a fantastic response to the Kiwiana Colouring In Competition as part of New Zealand Book Month.

Thank you to everyone who took part!

The judges had a hard time choosing, but here are the Winners:

  • 2 – 4 years: Serenity Hook, Age 4 from Ocean View
  • 5 – 7 years: Zachary Scott, Age 6 from Vauxhall
  • 8 – 12 years: Lucy Matehaere, Age 9 from Pine Hill

Congratulations to all of you for your wonderful work.

Serenity wins a new colouring book and pencils. Zachary wins a Family Pass to Cadbury World and Lucy wins a Swim and Slide Pass to Moana Pool.

The talented Craig Smith writes songs especially for children and his albums are recognised for their brilliance.

‘Wonky Donkey’ is the APRA NZ Children’s Song of the Year 2008, and is currently being turned into a children’s book, with other songs now receiving similar attention.

Join us on the weekend as Craig hosts a special performance in the Dunedin City Library that will delight children of any age, but are written with children 3 – 10 years in mind.

Come along for an afternoon of fun filled activities turning old junk into something amazing, funky and exotic.

We will provide sewing machines, glue guns and some materials to stimulate and encourage your creative juices.

You need to bring along items such as old clothing, buttons, wool, bottle tops and other recycled materials as well as a gold coin donation.

Just turn up and everyone welcome. This is suitable for all ages.
