image - heart-and-soulHeart And Soul centres around a heart health clinic, and the various romances, heartaches and struggles of the staff and patients.

In this novel the women are strong, independent types which I love and we are reintroduced to characters from some of her previous novels. Quentins the restaurant, of which there is a novel of the same name, appears.

The main character from Evening Class is there. The caterers from Scarlett Feather. It is great to see these characters again, but if you haven’t read any of her previous books you won’t think you have missed out on anything.

I love Maeve Binchy and just about everything she has written so far. Her books are like a mug of hot chocolate, a roaring log fire, a favourite jumper, all enfolding you into a comforting embrace.

The way Maeve brings the characters together, the way she writes as they talk, you feel right in the heart of the story like you are part of it all and not an outsider looking in.  This again was a fantastic book by Maeve Binchy – A must read.
