“Take control of your next interview, and get the job you want!” So promises author Marky Stein in her book “Fearless interviewing”.

Many people find interviews a daunting prospect but Stein is convinced that there are techniques you can learn that will give you confidence and she outlines them in this very readable book.

Stein has chapters on skills assessment (general skills, job-specific skills, personal traits, competencies, and gifts) and then she shows the reader how to craft stories and examples that will help explain their skills and experience to interviewers.

Other topics covered include how to research a company; managing the first twenty seconds of the interview; how to answer interview questions; and how to negotiate your salary.

This a very practical, easy to use book, and by putting in place the techniques outlined in its pages one’s confidence should certainly increase, and that scary interview may even become fun!
