Lance Armstrong was a rising star on the international cycling circuit when he suddenly lost form and was diagnosed with advanced testicluar cancer that had also spread to his lungs and brain.
He tells of his treatment and how his being a cancer patient, then a cancer survivor changed his outlook on life.
Friends and family guided him back into the world of competitive cycling becoming part of the US Postal Team. They entered the Tour de France in 1999 and he won several individual stages then the race itself, good times introduced allegations of drug use.
I found ‘Its not about the bike-my journey back to life’ an easy read and very informative about testicluar cancer and also bike racing strategies.
