Launched at the beginning of this month Dunedin Public Libraries now boasts it’s very own YouTube channel.

“We wanted to give our customers and other interested visitors another way of keeping up with library events” says Electronic Services Coordinator Paul Hayton.

As May is New Zealand Music month video clips from various performances taking place around the library network will be posted along with other promotional happenings etc.

Locate our Bookbus using Google Maps!

Regular readers of our blog may recall our announcement a month ago about Dunedin Public Libraries establishing a Flickr.com account to share images of our libraries, events etc.

Now we’ve established an online presence for our Bookbus team using the very interactive Google Maps service The maps are another way of helping you figure out and locate the best Bookbus stop is for your needs.

2008 Bookbus Timetable changes

Bookbus

We have just confirmed our 2008 Bookbus timetable and there are a few changes to note.

Green Island stops are renamed:

  • Green Island – Monday (10.45 – 11.30am)
  • Green Island – Tuesday (3.45 – 4.15pm)
  • Green Island – Friday (6.00 – 7.30pm)

Musselburgh has been renamed:

  • Marlow Street (Thursday, 2.15 – 3.30pm)

St Kilda has been renamed:

  • Victoria Flats (Thursday, 1.30 – 2.00pm)

(Note: there is still a stop called St Kilda on a Monday night)

St Clair stops have been renamed:

  • St Clair – Monday (9.45 – 10.30am)
  • St Clair – Thursday (10.00 – 12.00noon)

There is a small time change for Ravensbourne on Friday with the Bookbus on location 9.45 am - 10.15am. The Ravensbourne stop has also been moved forward a few metres to accommodate new kerbside parking.

The St Leonards stop has been discontinued and there is a new stop at Maia, Friday 10.25am - 10.55am
