Orange Broadband Prize for Fiction - Shortlist Announced

The shortlist for this literary competition has been released:
- Nancy Huston - Fault Lines
- Sadie Jones - The Outcast
- Charlotte Mendelson - When We Were Bad
- Heather O’Neill - Lullabies for Little Criminals
- Rose Tremain - The Road Home
- Patricia Wood - Lottery
The new writers shortlist is:

If someone nominated one of my books for a gender-based prize, I would tell them to stick it. Good writing is good writing and these gender-specific awards are affirmative active/political correctness at its most despicable. If you have to rely on your sex to get a citation or publication, you should be ashamed of yourself…
